In 1990, a college scholarship fund was established. One $1,000 and two $500 scholarships are awarded annually to three students who are visually impaired, second year through post-graduate students, and are residents of North Dakota. Criteria is based on financial need and academic achievements.

A second scholarship was established in the fall of 2004; the Emma Skogen Scholarship Fund is a $1,000 scholarship for students who are visually impaired and planning to attend a vocational or trade school. One of these will be awarded annually.
